Profile

Global Management Services, LLC (GMS) is seeking an Project Manager at JBER, AK. Individual will manage the Furnishings Management Office (FMO) program at JBER, providing appliance and furnishings support to dormitory/barracks and loaner operations. Must provide overall leadership and perform accountability of FMO items, furnishings repair, warehousing, customer support service and maintenance of inventory levels based on demand and furnishings allowance standards for Accompanied, Unaccompanied, and Acquired Dependent Support Program appliances and furnishings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision and scheduling of crews providing pickup and delivery of furnishings and appliances to on and off installation locations.
Manage receiving and issuing furnishings and appliances.
Tracking and Maintaining furnishings and appliance backup stock.
Overall responsibility for warehousing, redistributing, repairing and tracking of furnishings and appliances.
Preparing purchase requests for authorized items.
Scheduling, managing and reporting annual inventory and assessment of FMO warehouse, and other on-base stocks.
Identifying excess items to the installation for reporting to MAJCOM.
Providing customer service for authorized personnel with furnishings entitlements and support.
Managing a Reports of Surveys program to perform initial, follow-up and final actions on items damaged, destroyed, or lost through possible fault or neglect, or as required by AFMAN 23-220, Reports of Surveys for Government Property.
Oversight of vehicle operations and support.
Quality Assurance
Inspects completed work for conformance to quality standards and specifications.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet organizational needs.
Recommends changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiencies.
Analyzes and oversees resolutions of program problems.
Coordinates all required inspections.
Work with outside authorities to monitor compliance with regulations pertaining to the program
When compliance issues are identified, serves as the lead staff member to remediate any issues.
Complete and maintain necessary documentation and reports for compliance.

Job Requirements :
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Five (5) years of skilled and increasingly responsible experience in building construction or maintenance work of which at least two (2) years shall have been in a supervisory capacity
Must possess a valid State of Alaska driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be task oriented, self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring operations are accomplished in conformance with contractual requirements, subsidiary policies, and federal regulations.
Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral, written communication, and computer skills in a Windows environment with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint).
Maintain consistent communication and coordinate effectively with BSNC executive management.
Must be capable preparing summary and project status reports for use by executive management.
Ensures that subsidiary policies relating to operation, safety, and ethics are adhered to at all times.
Comprehensive knowledge of subcontractor/vendor relations and processes.
Preferred:
Desired B.A. or B.S. degree or higher.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hires, trains, and directs work of Drivers, Technicians, Warehouse and Administrative staff.
Assist with a portion of staff orientation related to facility operations for all new employees.
Motivates supervisees to achieve goals through supervision, coaching, goal setting, and training.
