According to the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics report for last month, the construction industry witnessed a significant loss of about 43,000 construction jobs in June. The marked decline in the home construction industry is evidenced by the loss of about 2,200 jobs in Treasure Coast, FL, since the beginning of the year. Job losses in the industry have also taken a toll on Utah’s economy as its employment growth has fallen below the 1% mark.
