A graduate degree is required to become a construction site supervisor or to be in the administrative department or in the planning section. These positions usually require two to four years of sound experience. Some construction firms even require five to ten years experience.

You must have in depth knowledge of surveying, foundation, irrigation systems, building drawing, structural drawing, estimation and costing, hydraulics, works management etc. according to the type of job profile. Updated and thorough knowledge about construction materials is a must.

In addition, especially in higher-level jobs, you must be familiar with computer programs such as AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Access, 3D-MAX along with the computer language C++. You must also have the foresight required for planning a project layout in drawing.
