''Job'' is a very familiar and commonly used word among people. We come across this word almost every day. We see many people around us in day–to–day life who are on a job or may be in search of jobs. But what do we actually mean by a job? A job is basically a role played by an individual by means of which he or she is able to satisfy the three basic needs of life: food, shelter, and clothing. A person who is employed in some industry or organization, or someone who has a business of one's own, can be considered as a person who has a job.

In today’s world the competition for job security has reached its top-most level. Jobs are available in almost all fields. Right from bigger professions such as doctorial and engineering, to other fields such as construction recruitment, carpenter jobs, etc. Employment rate has also increased because of the increase in the number of professions. Fields such as construction, hospitality, marketing, and research provide a lot of opportunities due to which people are going for jobs related to these fields.

As mentioned above, the construction field offers a lot of job opportunity and is at its peak. The first thing that comes to mind on hearing the word “construction” is buildings. This is because we have heard the about building construction many times. However, construction is not limited to just buildings; it also includes assembling of infrastructure, industries, and civil construction. By civil we mean building of roads, bridges, etc.—that is structures used by the general public.

Construction is not a cake walk. It is not done by an individual or a small group of people. It is basically a team work and lots of people are involved in it. Right from the beginning project managers, construction managers, designers, construction coordinators, workers and engineers—everyone—is involved. In construction we see that there are different levels at which people work, because of which job opportunities at various levels are available depending upon an individual’s choice.

From the entire jobs available in construction profession, the job for the post of construction coordinator has gained a lot of importance in recent times. To explain who actually is a construction coordinator and what he actually does, we first need to know the process of how a construction of a particular thing is carried out; for example a building. The first step is a proposal for a building which is brought before the board of the organization or industry related with it. If the idea is finalized a finance team decides a budget for it. Then all the legal procedures are followed and necessary permission is obtained. Once done with all this the design for the building is decided by the design team and the necessary estimations are given to the finance team. Finally, after all this, the construction of the building starts. In order that every thing goes according to the plan there has to be someone who keeps an eye on everything. Here comes the need of a construction coordinator.

A construction coordinator is basically a person who manages everything on the project. Construction coordinators keep an eye on workers, see that the deadlines are met, and update the senior authorities about the progress. Construction coordinators act as a medium of communication between workers and higher authorities. The job of coordinator is not easy, but this post helps in the development of a perfect individual due to which construction coordinator jobs have gained importance.
