However this is completely a myth. With the proper safety equipment there is no longer any cause to worry. With the improvement of safety technology building jobs are safe provided that one does not take any unnecessary risks and is dressed in the correct gear.

Another common myth is that there is no future if you join a building job. This again is untrue. Although after the completion of a project you may be at a loose end, there will be other projects that you can join. As you get more experience, your demand in the job market increases accordingly. Thus the belief that your future is unsecure in a building job is baseless as there are always plenty of projects that will be willing to employ you.

There is another common myth that there is no growth if you are in the building industry. However if you work hard and gain the necessary expertise, there is plenty of scope for you to get bigger and better jobs.

The belief that one works for peanuts in building is also a myth as workers are usually quite well-paid.
