Construction Director Jobs description
A construction director oversees various field activities and supervises the production managers, superintendents, assistants, and land managers; ensures product quality/consistency, adherence to schedules, effective job site supervision, and cost control; conducts continuing education and training sessions for construction staff; and interacts with the customer service manager. The construction director may also be involved in reviewing material and the accuracy of construction plans, assisting in the preparation of budgets, monitoring and controlling costs, and making strategic decisions. Depending on the size of the given organization, employers may refer to the same position as a senior construction manager, senior director, or VP - construction.Employers may want the construction director to have a degree in construction management and several years of experience in a construction or civil engineering environment. Several years of experience as a construction project manager may also be required.
