Executive, Manager, Construction, Architecture
As the Sr. Director of Architecture and Engineering (A&E), you will be responsible for developing and executing to a strategic plan that responds to the unique business needs from a conceptual design, plan development and vendor sourcing / management standpoint for all Enterprise initiatives and business focuses. This would include but not be limited to: all Retail, Ground-up Development, Administrative, PBM, Clean room, data centers, Specialty and Clinical business units within the CVS Health organization. In this role you would also analyze and respond to new directives requiring additional design and A&E support as the company expands into new and diverse business sectors not currently within the business unit plans.
This role also leads various reports (minimum of 5), including Prototype Director, Retail Director, Corporate Brands/Non-Retail Director, Vendor Management & Contracts Director, and Administration Assistant. You will be responsible for sourcing and contracting with outside firms to manage the design and execution of architectural and engineering work in all areas of the business. As the Sr. Director of A&E you also engage and collaborate with internal business partners to set direction, deliver results, build high performing teams and develop talent.
Develop strategic and tactical plans for the A&E department.
Source, organize, and lead a team of internal and external resources to provide services in support of A&E department projects and/or initiatives (approximately 5,000 projects a year) across the CVS Health Enterprise.
Establish process improvement to drive overall project performance - including cost, time-to-market, client satisfaction, sustainability, and knowledge of A&E document creation technologies to drive efficiency.
Lead the development, integration and constant updating of specifications into an active pipeline of ongoing projects across all project types.
Interview, hire, develop talent, and create succession plans amongst team members.
Develop and manage annual operating $1.2M and capital budgets $2M as well as responsibility for all A&E construction, $1B.
15 years of technical expertise in architecture, engineering and construction
10 years of leadership and management, with ability to set business goals and measure results
10 years of budget management
Ability to travel 30-40%
Knowledge and experience in organizational development (organization structure/change management)
Ability to partner across boundaries and influence cross-functional teams while building trust.
Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to present to executive teams
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
