Aecom Los Angeles is looking to add an Assistant Resident Engineer to their team.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Under limited supervision, conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
Is fully competent in most aspects of the job.
Works on projects of substantial complexity.
May assume lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support personnel.
Assist the Resident Engineer in their duties.
Participate in submittal, RFI, RFC, construction submittal reviews, claim reviews and draft responses for review by the Resident Engineer.
Monitor and report on construction progress. Participate in meetings.
Coordinate the work of field inspectors.
Provide technical scope and justification for Contract Changes.
Assist in the resolution of design and construction field problems
Bachelor Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, construction, etc.) 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
A valid driving license is required for this role
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or related field.
At least eight to ten (8-10) years of experience in Civil Construction with three (3) years in Construction of Transit Projects in the areas of underground stations, tunnels or guideways.
Experience as an assistant Resident Engineer or assistant Construction Manager on projects valued over $15 million dollars.
Registration as a Professional Engineer is desirable.
