As a member of our Infrastructure group, you will provide insight and innovative construction solutions to ensure the successful execution of various infrastructure projects, such as: roadways, highways and interchanges; bridges and overpasses; water and wastewater treatment facilities; transmission lines; general/public transportation including airports, seaports and light rail transit lines (LRTs); and conventional and alternative power generation like wind farms and district energy facilities. You will also further hone your skills operating under various delivery methods including Design-Build, P3 (Public-Private Partnership), Construction Management and IPD (Integrated Project Delivery).
About The Role
The Design Build Project Manager
will have an in-depth knowledge of infrastructure projects with a general contractor.
As a Design Build Project Manager at Graham you will:
Coordinate with contractors, operations, and maintenance teams, ensuring their technical and commercial expertise is factored into construction-design (including issues of constructability)
Review the construction project design to ensure compliance with customer/client requirements
Participate in the selection and recruitment of project Design Consultants
Supervise and review Design Consultants with regard to quality, schedule, and costs
Attend design review meetings and act as a Project Representative
Complete design handover documentation/reports
Negotiate scope, price, and terms and conditions for Design Works
Determine, define, and monitor design schedules and deliverables
Lead the Design team in the Value Management and engineering exercise
For DETAILED DESIGN:
As above as required including the following additional items:
Ensure RFP design is carried forward to detailed design
Operate a change management system for all design items including recording of change responsibility (client, construction or design team)
Ensure design schedule matches construction requirements and provide liaison between design and construction teams for schedule changes
Required qualifications and experience:
Engineering or Construction Management degree
10 years’ experience working on large Infrastructure projects (light rail, highways, water, waste water and energy).
5 years’ experience in a Lead Role on large Infrastructure projects (light rail, highways, water, waste water and energy).
5 years’ experience working on design-build or P3 projects
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, materials, negotiation, engineering, estimating, scheduling and safety).
