WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mechanical Superintendent (Construction)
for our Albany New York
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide assistance to New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Project Manager as directed
Assist in coordinating contractor’s daily work activities
Help to resolve design issues and questions from contractor
Help keep executionm of project work on schedule
Local travel between project sites will be required

Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large scale building/rehabilitation projects
Minimum 5 years of experience as an superintendent or inspector on large scale, multi-contract building projects
Proficient in basic computer skills utilizing Windows/Outlook/Word/Excel and scheduling applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Must be familiar with commercial construction of building mechanical systems including boiler systems, building direct digital control systems, HVAC systems, domestic water systems, plumbing and heating piping including steam, water, fuel and gas. Candidate should be knowledgeable on the code requirements of the systems for health, safety and energy conservation interests.
Experience with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam preferred but not mandatory
Experience with institutional construction preferred but not mandatory
Bachelor of Science degree preferred but not mandatory
OSHA 10 Hour training preferred
