WSP is currently initiating a search for a Risk Managerfor our Newark, New Jersey office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective risk management plans;
Manage risk analysis activities including risk identification, assessment, analysis, mitigation planning, and tracking of identified risks;
Proactively interface with multi-disciplinary team of engineers, managers and clients in the identification, assessment, management and reporting of project’s risk exposure;
Work with the project controls staff to incorporate appropriate risk in the cost and schedule assessments and establishing contingencies; and
Facilitate risk workshops.

10 years’ experience in risk management working for construction or engineering firm, preferably Transportation/Infrastructure projects;
Demonstrated working knowledge of risk cost analysis software (@Risk or Crystal Ball etc.) and risk schedule analysis software (Primavera Risk Analysis etc.);
Experience in conceptualizing and developing risk models using analytical methods;
Demonstrated experience in developing and running integrated models combining cost and schedule information;
Proven experience in effectively reporting and communicating risk analysis outcomes to wider project team; and
Confidence to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external staff.
Experience with Federal Transit Authority’s (FTA’s) and Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA’s); risk oversight procedures and processes;
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred but not mandatory.
