As a member of our team, you will provide insight and innovative construction solutions to ensure the successful execution of various projects, such as: education facilities; hospitals and healthcare centers; office buildings; warehouse and distribution centers; and mixed- use facilities.

You will also further hone your skills operating under various delivery methods including Bid-Build, Design-Build, Construction Management and IPD (Integrated Project Delivery).

About The Role

The M&E Project Manager reports directly to the Project Director and is supported and mentored by the Mechanical/Electrical Director and will be responsible for the delivery of the Building Services element of large value projects. Some of your key responsibilities will be:

Have overall accountability and responsibility for the scope, compliance and scheduled completion of the Building Services

Manage change and have financial accountability for the respective subcontractors

Administrate and manage the relevant subcontractors

Assist in preparation and negotiation of future subcontracts

Drive the commissioning schedule and agenda

Identify and resolve site issues, design issues and disputes in a timely manner

Issue direction to subtrades as necessary, chair meetings as required

Ensure adherence to the projects Quality Plan and process and that inspections and deficiencies are identified and resolved

Issue documentation to design team, owner and subtrades as necessary

Identify and manage risk

Produce regular reports and updates to the wider team,

Manage the 3rd party commissioning agent

Manage the process of building turnover, training and closeout documentation

Manage a team of M&E Coordinators, includes directing tasks and establishing objectives

To be successful in the role, you will have the following experience:

A degree and/or related experience in mechanical, electrical or technology is required

Up to 15 years experience in the construction industry working on major commercial projects, with at least 3-5 year in a related role

Have large / complex relevant building construction project experience is an asset

Prior experience working with clients, vendors, and subtrades

Computer literacy in a Windows environment

The candidate would expect to be driven manage a team of people to deliver and work as part of the overall project team to ensure we have a single company approach.
