By using hands-on learning, problem solving, and teamwork, the Construction Engineering Technology program at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. gives students the knowledge and technical skills used by construction managers to formulate the plan, control costs, and ensure that materials flow, oversee manpower and machinery, meet schedules, and see that quality work is performed. The CET program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of ABET. Graduates of the Construction Engineering Technology Associate degree will be prepared with the technical skills necessary to enter careers with construction companies, highway departments, contractors, and architectural and engineering firms. Graduates will have gained knowledge in the building, operation, and maintenance of buildings and infrastructure and will be equipped with the ability to utilize basic construction documents to participate in construction activities. Students will be prepared for limited site supervision, estimating, scheduling, and assistant project management in a construction office. As of the spring 2018 semester there were 38 students enrolled, with 4 full-time AET/CET faculty plus supplemental adjunct instructors. Program options include Construction Engineering Technology - Associate in Applied Science; Construction Science & Management Transfer Track - Associate in Applied Science with Transfer to Clemson University; Construction Science and Management, Solar Technician - Certificate in Applied Science; and Industrial Electricity - Certificate in Applied Science.
Duties may include any of all of the following:
* Develop and maintain course documentation
* Maintain audio-visual and/or other materials for courses taught.
* Prepare for class presentations.
* Provide and explain course syllabus
* Present material so as to enable coverage of vital concepts and permit student understanding.
* Engage students in team discussions similar to that of the work environments.
* Use computer applications such as Blackboard, GTC4me, and college email in communicating assignments and grades to students.

Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in architecture, construction science, engineering, engineering technology or a related field
Bachelor's degree and a residential or commercial license or professional engineer's license and four (4) years office experience including building codes application.
Master's degree in CSM or engineering or a Master's degree and residential or commercial license or professional engineer's license.
