Recruiters Post 9,731 Construction Jobs on ConstructionCrossing, Echoing ADP Report

October 07, 2013   |  PDF version  PDF version

Pasadena, CA - As per the article, “ADP: Businesses added 166,000 jobs in September,” that appeared on 3 October in USA Today, the business sector added 166,000 jobs in September. Of that increase, small business added 74,000 jobs, large companies, 64,000, and construction companies added 16,000. Of the new opportunities created in the construction sector in America, more than half are listed on ConstructionCrossing.com. At the time of writing this press release, 9,731 jobs were posted on the jobsite.

The latest estimate of an increase in employment—in the absence of the Bureau of Labor Statistics report, which was due on 4 October—illustrates a job market that, according to some economists, will be strengthening in the coming months. Moreover, the increase suggests a trend that will continue with the job market favoring an industry that was initially adversely affected by the contraction in the economy. Conducting a job type search on ConstructionCrossing.com showed a significant rise in the number of active jobs for Construction Project Managers (1,268), Construction Managers (2,825), Construction Estimators (1,188), Construction Superintendents (864), and Construction Engineers (924).

Harrison Barnes, Chief Executive Officer of Employment Research Institute, the parent company of ConstructionCrossing says, “Employers are urgently seeking construction labor and management personnel who can fill their active and unfilled positions that are listed on ConstructionCrossing. This is indicative of the fact that the domestic construction job market will be bright in the second half of this year and through 2014."

The Construction sector has seen a job growth in every major category from mid-year. This job growth has been acknowledged by the U.S. Department of Labor too. As per a market research conducted by ConstructionCrossing, most of the new construction jobs have been added in states like Florida, California, Ohio and Texas. ConstructionCrossing.com itself reports huge number of chances in these states. The job site reports 223 construction jobs in Ohio, 448 construction jobs in Florida, 1,113 construction jobs in Texas and 1,121 construction jobs in California.
